All About The What’s Next Club

Midlife can be a time of change, reflection and uncertainty. The What’s Next Club is here to help you make sense of it all, with honest conversations, useful advice and lighthearted ideas for navigating whatever comes next.

What’s next?

It’s an exciting question, but it can also be a daunting one, especially when change is forced upon us, or when life no longer quite fits.

The What’s Next Club is about meeting yourself where you are, being honest about what’s going on, what you want, what’s holding you back and what you’d like to change.

And then, rather than trying to change everything at once, it’s about working out what comes next – figuring out the steps you’ll take towards a life that feels more like your own.

How Does It Work?

Small steps, taken consistently, can create permanent change. One of the biggest misconceptions about changing your life is that you need to know exactly what you want before you can begin. You don’t.

The What’s Next Club is built around three simple steps:

Reflect · Decide · Take Action

This isn’t about becoming a different person; it’s about becoming more comfortable and confident with who you are.

Reflect

Reflection isn’t about endlessly analysing your life or dwelling on what might have been. It’s about taking the time to understand who you are now, what’s changed, what’s no longer working and what matters most to you.

Midlife can be a time when old assumptions and expectations start to shift. Taking a moment to reflect can help you separate what you genuinely want from what you’ve simply become used to — and create some clarity around the choices ahead.

Decide

Once you have a clearer sense of what you want, it’s time to make some decisions.

That doesn’t mean having all the answers or changing everything at once. It might mean saying yes to something new, saying no to something that no longer feels right, having a difficult conversation, or giving yourself permission to explore a different direction.

The important thing is to move from the uncertainty of “What if?” to the possibilities of “What’s next?”

Take Action

Knowing what you want is one thing. Doing something about it is another.

Taking action doesn’t have to mean making a dramatic change or having a perfectly mapped-out plan. Often, the most meaningful changes begin with one small, manageable step – a conversation, a plan, a new habit, a boundary, a booking, or simply making time for something that matters to you.

You don’t need to know exactly where the road leads. You just need to be willing to take the next step.

Find what works for you

There isn’t one way to work out what’s next.

  • You might want to start with a quick quiz.
  • You might need some time to do a life reflection.
  • You might be ready to work through an in-depth guided programme.

That’s why The What’s Next Club brings together quizzes, worksheets, guides, courses, programmes, books, videos and practical resources – so you can choose what feels right for you.

Dip in and out. Take your time. Start small. Or dive in. It’s your life. You get to decide how you want to change it!
